For Veterinarians in the St. Paul–Minneapolis MN Area: VRCC Welcomes Referrals
Thank you for your interest in VRCC's rehabilitation and conditioning services. In collaboration with you, we will design a tailored rehabilitation plan that will restore your patient to optimal function. Working together, we will ensure our patients have the highest quality of care. You can expect regular communication and reports on the progress of our mutual patients.
Partnering with You Only for the Best Care
Although we operate in the same building as a general practice veterinary hospital, we are a separate entity and do not consult with them on patient care. We respect the trust you have placed in us by referring your patients in need of rehabilitation or conditioning care and will coordinate all care with and through you.
Our common goal is to restore patients to a normal activity level or optimal function. VRCC is a treatment center focusing on pain management, animal rehabilitation, and fitness. Our patients return to you for primary care.

The Referral Process
Thank you for the referral. Prior to your client's appointment with us, please fax or email the patient's pertinent recent medical records, including surgery reports and diagnostic results. A referral form, if you prefer to use it, is available. Please have your client bring his or her most recent imaging studies as well. Also, please notify us of any existing medical or surgical conditions, including current medications.
During the initial appointment, a therapy plan will be created, which will include a home care plan. The therapy plan will be modified as your patient progresses with therapy. A written summary of his or her visit will be sent to you as well.
We always welcome your telephone calls and emails. Please contact us with any questions. Clients may call (612) 618-0218 or email us at email@example.com to schedule their first appointment.
"On several occasions, Dr. Hammel administered acupuncture to help Stone, our aging Black Lab. He was like a babe in her arms and the relaxing effects of the procedure seemed to help his mobility. It was a spa treatment for him with healthful results. "– Chris S.
"When Gracie had her hip surgery, the surgeon referred me to Dr. Hammel for physical rehabilitation to speed her recovery. She steadily improved and now plays just as hard as our puppy! I think she misses her rehab sessions though!"– Patrick H.
"Cody, our 12-year-old German Shepherd, has osteoarthritis and difficulty walking. He has been coming to VRCC for physical rehab and it is helping him tremendously. He feels better, has started playing again, and is now able to go for walks. Cody loves his rehab sessions, especially the underwater treadmill!"– Becca P.
"You can tell that Dr. Hammel cares about each pet and treats them as if they are her own. My dog always feels right at home with VRCC and I love the excellent care she receives there!"– Missy S.
